Tuna reports 7-28

Delaware

OFFSHORE OCEAN Anglers who troll from dusk to midnight have been catching good numbers of bigeye tuna. The fish have shown up in the Baltimore, Poorman’s and Washington canyons. I have caught bigeyes on 50-pound standup gear, but if I had to crank one up today I would want an 80-pound outfit and a fighting chair.

Frisco Rod and Gun reports

Dolphin fishing has been good with wahoo, blackfin and yellowfin mixed in.

Oregon Inlet fishing Center  reports that many boats have had limits of dolphin, some wahoo and white marlin release. One boat has a quadruple blue marlin hookup. A lot of gaffers, some 50lb yellowfin  and a 60lb wahoo.
